Profile

She has been through a number of inspections as a school leader and successfully moved her current school from RI to Good through rapid school improvement work. She is an advocate for school inspection and completed her training to become an inspector following her success in securing a strong outcome for her own school. She has more recently worked with a number of schools to complete curriculum reviews, Headteacher performance management and lead staff training. Emily is passionate about coaching and working with teams- securing sustainable improvements and building capacity.

Her school has been nominated and shortlisted for two National Awards to recognise their unique approach to SEN and Inclusion. She leads three local authority SEN resource base provision units for pupils with social communication difficulties. Her current school is attachment friendly, trauma informed and mental health aware and supports a number of schools to manage challenging behaviour and pupils at risk of exclusion. She has a postgraduate qualification in this area.
