Profile

Ben has developed a strong first-hand practical understanding of past and current Ofsted Frameworks having worked until recently for both CFBT and Ofsted as an additional inspector since 2012. He has been very well versed in supporting schools in their own evaluation and development planning. He has also supported Governing Bodies to enable them to be more effective in their role as a critical friend.

Ben’s track record of working with and supporting schools demonstrates his ability to tailor his advice and guidance to the needs of individual schools, celebrating their successes in the knowledge that no two schools are the same, or have the same strengths and barriers. This personal approach has supported those schools to be valued in their communities, by their pupils and supported their successful Ofsted judgements.

His own school’s recent Outstanding judgement highlighted that pupils ‘meet the high expectations of the school’, that the curriculum is ‘highly ambitious for all’ and that staff development is a ‘high priority’. He is well placed therefore to share his experience and knowledge with others in their school’s journey and towards their future success.
