Helen McGrath is a retired Headteacher who has extensive leadership skills with 32 years teaching experience, 15 of these in leadership roles in a variety of primary schools. The schools have all been in differing categories, giving her a vast array of experience, mostly in the Catholic sector.

Experience includes:
- a licensed inspector for Catholic School’s Inspection of Diocese across England and Wales.
- comprehensive and hands-on experience of dealing with all aspects of HR and staffing issues to support and develop her staffing teams.
- developing middle and senior leaders.
- Improving provision for curriculum design and has created meaningful, relevant and impactful schema in all of her schools.
- Early Reading and Phonics.
- developing school vision and mission to create nurturing, high quality and successful school communities.

Through motivational leadership, she has created and implemented dynamic strategies to develop staff and pupils to ensure excellent growth and achievement. She is values driven with a capacity to build empathy and rapport to support leaders in the educational challenges of the 21st Century.

Particular areas of strength:

Creating successful teams to improve provision and outcomes for children. To provide well-being and emotional support for senior leaders in challenging times.
Preparing for inspection; the inspection process, including ‘deep dives’; making clear judgements about the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and supporting schools in working towards school improvements; team work and developing leadership across school, including robust self-evaluation and Head Teacher appraisal.
