Alison Rostron is currently the headteacher of Thelwall Community Infant School and has been in post since January 2013.

Profile

Prior to this she worked in another large Infant school in Warrington, before moving to Thelwall Infant school as Deputy Headteacher in 2002. She has experience working with, supporting and challenging teachers across Warrington to develop best practice in maths, early years and art. She co-ordinates and hosts cluster events for early years.
Thelwall Infant School is a one and a half form entry Infant school with growing numbers. The school currently has an ‘outstanding’ OFSTED judgement, and strong leadership ensures a highly dedicated and passionate team of staff that strive to help every child achieve their full potential.
Alison is extremely passionate about the early years and getting it right for the children at the beginning of their school lives. She has a strong philosophy that children learn best through play, exploration and purposeful learning opportunities, and this is embedded in the approach to teaching across the whole school. Strengths of the school include delivering an exciting and creative curriculum, building confident and resilient learners and developing effective relationships with parents.
