Ann is currently the Headteacher of a primary school in Bolton, Lancashire. She has 12 years experience of highly successful school leadership. Prior to taking a school senior leadership role, Ann worked for the Local Authority School Improvement team. She has been associated with ECM since 2016.
Before becoming an independent consultant for ECM Anne has had significant experience across the primary phase, including the Foundation Stage, as a teacher, head teacher, adviser and local authority manager. Anne has fourteen years’ experience as a head teacher of four very contrasting schools. Her last appointment was to a school in Serious Weaknesses and under her outstanding leadership it was judged as Good by OfSTED.
Boo Edleston has worked in primary education for 25 years; She has been Headteacher of Pear Tree Primary School in Nantwich since 2016 and before that served as Head at Smallwood Church of England Primary for six years.
Diane Pye joined ECM as an associate advisor in September 2018. She currently works as a headteacher of a primary school in Shropshire, which she took from Good (2012) to Outstanding in 2017. In addition to her headteacher role, Diane carries out school inspection work, both as a lead inspector and in team roles.
Elisabeth Fenwick joined ECM Education Consultants as an Associate Consultant in September 2015. Elisabeth’s main area of expertise is in Early Years and has led Early Years courses as well as working directly with schools in improving their provision. She also works with primary schools, primarily linked to leadership and management and the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. Elisabeth is passionate about ensuring that every child is given the best possible opportunities to achieve their very best.
Elizabeth has been Head-teacher of Little Aston Primary School near Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands, since January 2005. Little Aston Primary is an average size, multi-ethnic primary school with 219 children on roll, excluding the Governor run pre-school 'Sparkletots'.
Emily Henderson is currently a Deputy Headteacher at Brookburn Primary School, in Chorlton, Manchester. Emily has worked on leadership teams in schools across a range of Local Authorities, including Cheshire East, West Sussex and Manchester. She has completed both the National Award for SENCos, leading SEN provision for a number of years previously, and completed her National Professional Qualification for Headship at UCL.
Gail has been an associate consultant at ECM since 2014 and has worked with schools in the UK and China. In her last post as headteacher of a successful Primary school in Cheshire West and Chester she was recognised by Ofsted as showing ‘visionary leadership’.
Jim has been a senior leader in secondary school for a considerable period of time. For many years he has worked for government agencies to lead the completion of quality assurance work in schools and to support the professional development of teachers and trainees.
John is an ECM director with 13 years of headship experience in two contrasting Primary schools. In both schools Ofsted identified John as an outstanding leader. John has 4 years’ experience as a local authority adviser and is a trained inspector who worked initially for CFBT and then with Ofsted.
Lesley Else joined ECM Education Consultants as an Associate Advisor in November 2016. Lesley is an accredited inspector and prior to this worked for three years with both Serco and CfBT inspection providers. She currently inspects across the Midlands and is qualified to lead short inspections of primary schools.
Liam Trippier is an experienced leader in education. He currently advises Headteachers and teachers, leads school reviews for local authorities and develops supportive professional materials. He has excellent knowledge of inspection matters including the 2019 Education Inspection Framework.
Louise works as an Associate with ECM. She has over 20 years’ experience in a wide range of schools with different contexts. Louise began collaborating early, as a leading teacher in the local authority, from there to deputy head, acting headteacher and finally to headship.
Marguerite has significant experience in educational leadership, school inspection and consultancy/advice for schools and governors. She has been a headteacher of three different primary schools and her own leadership was judged to be outstanding. Marguerite subsequently spent nine years as one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI), during which she was also a member of Ofsted’s National Quality Assurance team.
Mark joined ECM Education Consultants in 2015 and currently works as a leadership partner for a large number of schools in the midlands and north-west, providing support and advice in relation to all aspects of leadership and management and the quality of teaching. His most recent training has related to the new Ofsted framework, curriculum development and ‘deep dives’.
Mike Dixon joined ECM Education Consultants as an associate in September 2015. Mike works with schools and leadership teams in the North West, as a lead partner and to support leaders in their self-evaluation to help them in identifying priorities for school improvement. He leads training on a range of school leadership areas including curriculum leadership, school self-evaluation and impact planning. Mike is headteacher of an outstanding Primary School in Chester.
Nicola qualified as a teacher 20 years ago and has worked in a range of Primary schools since 2004. She has been in her current school since 2007 and has progressed successfully through classroom and leadership roles to her current position of Assistant Headteacher.
Nicola has over 20 years’ experience in teaching and supporting Professional Development across all primary phases. She has been a Deputy Head teacher, Literacy Adviser and Professional Development leader for a leading Educational Publisher
For over 23 years (with 20 of those as a deputy head and school leader) Ruth has taught and managed in a variety of settings including some of the most deprived and challenging catchment areas in the North West of England.
Sally has over sixteen years' experience as a successful teacher, leader and trainer working across all phases of education. Most recently this has included working as a Director of Learning for a multi academy trust with over 36 schools and prior to that as an HMI for the East Midlands
