He currently leads an outstanding school in Bolton, which has maintained their status over many years, whilst supporting many schools. Prior to headship, Kevan predominantly worked in areas of high needs across a number of different roles and schools.

Kevan’s school, and his team, have been awarded many awards both locally and nationally and is currently an; “Inclusion: Centre of Excellence School, National Support School” and holds numerous quality marks that acknowledge the school’s curriculum and highly experienced staff.

Having also worked as a School Improvement Partner for Bolton Local Authority, Kevan brings with him an in depth knowledge of not only how to improve schools, but also make these improvements sustainable in the long term, whilst building true capacity.

Areas of particular strength include, developing recruitment and retention, supporting effective assessment, a thorough understanding of assessment techniques, systems and practical expertise in raising standards, supporting staff development and maintaining a work life balance in the demanding role of school leadership.
